What are bonds?

Governements and corporations often have to borrow money from the markets to finance products or expansion plans.

Instead of taking a loan, they issue bonds, called debt securities, which can also be traded between different parties.

Bonds differ from shares in that they pay interest and do not grant a stake in the issuing organisation.

What moves a bond?

Political and economic uncertainty
